Hisui (緋水) is a fierce woman in the Uruha whose motivation to fight is to find a moment wherein she can die.
Appearance[]
Hisui is a young woman with short brown hair and blue eyes. She has multiple scars on her face, although it seems she had them even before she joined Ura Uruha.
Personality[]
In the past, Hisui cared very much for Hideki, a man who had also joined the Ura Uruha training regiment. However, after unwittingly being matched up against him and killing him, she becomes cold, cynical, and reckless, viewing life as a game. She decides that every "game" she plays is a game between life and death, and she wants to see when she'll be the one to fall.

History[]
During a training session to promote her into the ranks of Ura Uruha wherein the trainees had to fight in the dark with a mask to silence their voices tied around their mouth, Hisui ends up killing her own boyfriend.
Sealed Lands arc[]
After getting Kaoru to fall in a river, she challenged Fūko to a duel. As Tokiya left to search Koganei, Fūko fought Hisui in a very dangerous death duel. Fūko came up victorious and also prevented Hisui from committing suicide. She told Hisui on the futility of throwing one self's life away. As a token of gratitude, Hisui lent Fūko one of her weapons, Shinryo Shintō.
After learning her boyfriend's death was actually orchestrated by Kōran Mori and that he enjoyed the event as it happened, she defects from Uruha. She is killed by Mori Kōran while she was protecting Fūko, and is buried by the collapse of Tendou Jigoku's cave.
SODOM arc[]
Hisui's spirit makes one final appearance, bidding farewell to Fūko before Shinryo Shintō shatters.
Abilities[]
Hisui wields the madōgu Shinryo Shintō, a pair of blade-tonfa that can elongate and contract at will. After being defeated by Fūko, Hisui gives one of them to her. Fūko keeps it until it shattered after the destruction of Tendou Jigoku.
Etymology[]
- The name Hisui means "scarlet, dark red" (緋) (hi) and "water" (水) (sui).
